St. Patrick's Day Rainbow Cocktail
Happy St. Patrick's Day!! π Will you be drinking the ever so popular green beer today or are you willing to try something a little more colorful to celebrate today's festivities?!
I decided to venture away from the traditional GREEN of St. Patrick's Day just for the day and create a super fun rainbow cocktail using one VERY simple ingredient...ICE CUBES. Yup, you heard me right! You can even make this one for the kiddos, just omit the booze and substitute with their favorite drink. I've created rainbow ice cubes which stand out so beautifully in any clear liquid! Mine you ask...Goose and soda with lime! I'm a simple gal, and this has been my go-to drink for as long as I can remember! Ask my friends!
Here's What You'll Need:
Ice Cube Tray
Food Coloring
Toothpicks
Boiled Water (This keeps the ice cubes clear)
How to:
Boil enough water to fill the ice cube tray and wait until it cools completely. Once cooled, pour the water into the tray. Decide what colors you're going to dye your cubes - I did Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and Pink. (Side Note: If you decide to do blue and/or purple, your drink will more than likely turn a dark color so don't be alarmed!) Add one to two drops of dye per cube and stir with a toothpick to make sure the color is well combined. Move on to the next cube. Once all the colors are finished, carefully place the tray into the freezer and freeze overnight.
Now, it's COCKTAIL TIME!! All you need to do is pop those fancy ice cubes out, place them in a clear glass, and create yourself a clear cocktail or mocktail (for the kids of course) and enjoy sippin' on your super festive Rainbow Cocktail! These ice cubes would be great for any occasion - birthday parties, baby showers, you name it! Have fun with it, get the kids involved, then pour yourself a much deserved Rainbow cocktail! π πΈ π π
