Fab Finds: Pokiland - Revisited
"Welcome to Pokiland!"
If you've been, you know what I'm talking about! So you've all heard me rant about how much I love me some Pokiland and I'm sure you've seen me snap a meal at least once or twice a week on Snapchat from Pokiland, but since they've opened, they've added some FABULOUS new additions! I thought it was only fair to fill you all in so you don't miss out on one of my favorite places here in town!
As mentioned, I'm a frequent Pokiland visitor and I've literally tried all of their options: A bowl, the wrap, a salad, and of course one of my all time favs, the nachos. However, RECENTLY, I've discovered a new favorite: Seaweed Bowl - Seaweed with all the regular toppings which make it a low carb option, but still equally delicious!
As of July, Pokiland has made some really smart and tasty changes and updates to their menu.
Take a look:
Added to the Starters: Edamame
Added to the Proteins: Albacore
Added to the Sauces: Unagi Sauce (EEEEK, this completely changed my Pokiland game!)
Added to the Toppings: JalapeΓ±os & Fried Onions
...and THEN they had this teaser stint in macarons that led to MACARON ICE CREAM SANDWICHES made by the delicious Mavens Creamery.
I honestly can't tell you how much of a pleasure it is going into Poikland on the reg! Everyone there is SO nice, so genuine and very positive! They are extremely efficient while working down the assembly line and they all seem like they're having fun there. I love seeing that kind of chemistry amongst co-workers!
Below are the nachos and the seaweed bowl!
If you want to order my seaweed bowl this is what you need to order:
- Seaweed Bowl (Large)
- All Starters
- Proteins: Crab, Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp, Squid & Yellowtail (I add an extra protein)
- Spicy Mayo and Unagi Sauce
- All Toppings, but no jalapeΓ±os or wasabi
These are the general toppings I get on everything! I swear, if you order this combination, you won't be disappointed!!
Ugh, don't you just wanna dive in!!?!? Omg. I want another round, now!
I'm so thankful to have a place like this in my neighborhood that is not only DELICIOUS, but also a fast, fun and inexpensive alternative to traditional sushi!
P.S. They have a giant chalkboard on the back wall where they randomly write daily questions and let the people speak! I think this is such a fun idea!
