Fab Finds: Current TV Binge Obsessions
I've always been an avid TV watcher, but lately I've been so busy (and tired) that not until recently due to being home for my recovery I've had the time to really sit down and binge all those shows I've had piled up on my DVR for years...yes, years. There have been a lot of shows I've been dying to watch, and I'm proud to say that I can FINALLY cross them off my list!
|| Devious Maids ||
For the first two seasons, I was pretty current with this show, then time got away from me. I literally binged seasons three and four in two days and I STILL wanted more. Unfortunately, I knew the show got canceled prior to this, but I'm all about finishing what I started, so I had to see how the show ended, and I gotta say, there's definitely room for more! Maybe it'll be brought back, who knows! I couldn't get enough!!
|| Mistresses ||
Another show that I had sitting on the DVR for awhile! Well, the last season at least... I remember binge watching season three in January and I was OBSESSED, so I told myself when it aired I was going to watch it and try to stay current. Yeah, so much for that! This is another show that unfortunately got canceled, but had to know how it finished. I will say, season four was my least favorite out of all the seasons, BUT it was still a good show. Clearly it was binge worthy in my eyes because I binged season four in one day (minus the finale), I wanted to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for that! I'm very happy I got to see this show come to an end, however, they did leave it open-ended, so once again, who knows!
|| Young & Hungry ||
Ok, now this is a comedy I had a LOOOOOT of episodes piled up. I feel like comedies are so much easier to binge than dramas because generally their 30 minutes long, so you can just keep watching and watching and you lose track of time much faster than with hour long dramas. This is the show I started watching immediately after my surgery. I put it on while laying in bed at night, right when I woke up in the morning, and also in the afternoon...pretty much all day, so you an imagine how quickly I got through these episodes. This show was exactly what I needed post-surgery because it honestly brightened my spirits and made me laugh, and we can all use a little laugh, now can't we?!

This is a newer show, currently only in it's second season. My binging consisted of finishing the second half of season one and getting current with season two. This show is just a good time! I feel like no one is talking about it and they most definitely should! It's a hidden gem and hilarious!!
|| The Good Place ||
This show is brand new to the scene this season and I immediately got behind on my watching because too many new shows aired and of course, I wanted to give them all a chance! (That didn't happen!) I decided to take the bull by the horns and just start randonly watching this show! I don't know what was holding me back because the concept was EXTREMELY appealing to me, but I gotta say, once I started, I couldn't stop! Now I'm completely caught up and I keep telling myself, "What a GENIUS idea for a show!"
We all need a little mindless TV watching in our lives, and for me of COURSE it's one of the Real Housewives shows. Now, to be perfectly honest, I don't watch them all. I used to watch a few of them, but then I just felt like it was getting to be too much! So, I decided to cut back to the one group out of the franchise that really kept me interested the most and that was New Jersey. It was the only one that I consistently watched and kept me 100% entertained. It's been quite interesting seeing new and old cast members come and go over the past seven seasons, so I knew I HAD to binge this last season because it was Teresa's homecoming from Federal Prison as well as her husband Joe's send off. After each season ends, I can never decide which housewife is my favorite, but I think I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I think I really genuinely enjoyed the new addition of Siggy this year! She has a sweet heart, always wants to help fix her friend's problems (even if they're unfixable) and loves her family! For the most part, she's drama free! Anyways, moral of the story is mindless binging never killed anyone!
Ok, well, noooow we might be taking it too far with the mindless binging, but this show just sucks you right in! So much drama, so much unnecessary drama, it's quite hilarious! I will say, I think I secretly tuned in to see what Morgan (cute little blonde in the center) was going to wear in each episode! Her style is so on point and I love it! So if anything, I got some cute style ideas from that lady! Otherwise, just another show to make you appreciate your simple, sweet life you have back on the farm...ok maybe not really, but you know what I mean!

Remember when I ranted on about how much I loved this show last week?? Well yeah, it's because I finally had the chance to binge the heck out of it and it was so worth it!! This girl takes you across America with some of her friends and family and takes you inside places you would probably never think to find or try! I've already started making a list of those places that I want to try! I'm definitely going to start with the places right here in California, then start checking those other places off my list! All I know is this recipe is happening this Christmas!
So there you have it, a look inside what I've been secretly binging lately and you know what, I am not ashamed people! Along with those shows, I have most certainly been keeping up with The Walking Dead, This is Us, American Housewife, Modern Family, Man With a Plan, Ayesha's Homemade and a few others as well! I'm taking full advantage of the time I have now, because I know this luxury will not last long!
I have to admit one funny thing about my old granny self! Last night we were binging the last season of Hannibal aaaaaaaaand I fell asleep during the second half of a VERY intense series finale! Like who does that!!??! Whoopsies!! My bad. Time to re-watch!
